FORMER INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE TO THE SUPREME COURT TODAY.

A three-judge panel in Colombo had recently ordered the acquittal of the former Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara from the charges filed for not taking action to prevent a terrorist attack on Easter Sunday, and the Attorney General requested that the order be annulled. It is reported that former Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara has come to the Supreme Court today (04) to appear for the appeal petition hearing.

It is stated that this petition will be heard today (04) before a five-member bench led by Mr. Prithi Padman Surasena.
