It is reported that four members of the masked bandits operating in many areas of the Jaffna district were arrested along with a looted gold stock.
This robbery gang was introduced as the Mask Robbery Gang due to the robberies carried out using masks in several places in the Jaffna district during the last few days and four members of the robbery gang were arrested during a special search operation conducted by the officers of the Jaffna Police Divisional Crime Investigation Department. During the subsequent questioning of them, nearly 28 pounds of looted gold was also found.
Apart from that, a motorcycle, a sword used for robbery and a stock of equipment were also found in their possession.
