It is reported that a person who cultivated cannabis in a cinnamon and coconut plantation was arrested yesterday (22) in Angunacolapalassa, Karagahwala area.
It is said that the suspect was arrested with 2,327 cannabis plants growing to a height of 3 feet and 7 kilograms of cannabis and 800 grams of cannabis between a coconut and cinnamon plantation in Uswewa, Karagawala lake.
He is a resident of Vekadawala area.
Angunakolapalassa police are conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
