Commissioner of Inland Revenue Department A. said that if the TIN number (Taxpayer Identification Number) is not obtained, a fine of fifty thousand rupees will not be charged from the first of February, and after familiarizing the people to obtain the TIN number, after some time, the fine law will be implemented against those who do not comply with it. He has also said that there is more interest among the population above the age of 18 to get the tin number.

The commissioner mentioned that there are provisions in the Inland Revenue Department Act to impose fines on people who do not pay tax, and that it does not mean that a fine will be imposed because of delay in obtaining the tin number.

He has said that the Inland Revenue Department has already started familiarizing and informing the people about how to get the TIN number, and if the people who have to pay taxes fail to pay taxes, they will impose fines as a last resort.
