All the eggs imported from India have been taken to the consumers, one million eggs are being imported daily, and one million eggs are being distributed daily through Lanka Sathosa.
It is reported that Mr. Asiri Valisundara, Chairman of Rajya Komerka Various Statutory Corporation, stated.
Accordingly, he has mentioned that a special program has been prepared for the distribution of packaged eggs to all supermarkets by next week, and that the price of a packaged egg for sale in supermarkets is 42 rupees.
However, he has emphasized that it is not possible to provide those eggs to bakeries and industries.
