It is reported that the Department of Meteorology has informed that an increase in the existing rain conditions can be expected in the next few days from tomorrow (29) due to the turbulent nature of the South East Bay of Bengal sea area.
According to that, rain or thundershowers may occur from time to time in the North, East, North Central and Uva provinces, rain or thundershowers may occur in places after 1.00 pm in the rest of the provinces, Galle also in the Eastern, Central, Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces. The Department of Meteorology has announced that heavy rains of about 100 mm may occur in some places in Matara and Matara districts.
