It is reported that 102 of the inmates who escaped from the Welikanda Kandakadu Rehabilitation Center have been arrested by the police.
The Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi mentioned that around 139 inmates escaped from the rehabilitation center yesterday (11) afternoon, and the police and army are engaged in operations to search for 37 more inmates.
