It is reported that the first Kumbal Perahera of the Esala Perahera Festival at the historic Sri Dalada Palace in Kandy will begin today (21) and it will be traveling around until the 25th.
Then the first Randoli Perahera is scheduled to start on the 26th and it will be held on the streets till the 30th.
Accordingly, the parade will end on the 31st of August after the water-cutting ceremony held at Gatambe Pier in the Mahaweli River, and then the President will be notified by a memorandum that the parade has been successfully completed.
