The agreement of the International Monetary Fund is to be presented to the Parliament today (22) and it is reported that the President will make a special statement after the Parliament meeting at 9.30 am.
The approval of the Executive Committee of the International Monetary Fund for the 48-month program under the extended credit facility of about 03 billion dollars for Sri Lanka’s economic policies and reforms has been received.
Accordingly, the International Fund has announced that the first installment of the extended credit facility to Sri Lanka will be released today or tomorrow (23), and it is reported that $333 million will be released to the country.
