The Minister of Justice also disclosed about 15 gambling betting websites that played a major role in this tournament, which was held without the approval of the Minister, and revealed that SKYFAIR, which sponsored the title of the competition, was an illegal betting, offshore website.
The Minister of Justice also said:
“There are serious problems with the recently held LPL tournament. In particular, there is a problem related to the direction of the Cricket Board.
The reason for that is this. During the LPL tournament, many programs were implemented especially to promote the cryptocurrency system.
In that, the T20 franchise-based league titles were sponsored by an illegal offshore betting site called SKYFAIR.
According to the law of our country, they are prohibited. This time this game has been used to promote prohibited things.
15 such organizations have been identified which run illegal betting websites with many sponsors.
Skyfair News,1xBet 1XBook,Crickets In,Kheloyar News,Babu88,SAT sport,Wolf 777,Tiger ESCH,BA Fry Coin,MTFE. Those are the sites.
Then see, all these institutions are engaged in betting business. Or those that deal in cryptocurrencies.
The winning candy team has also been sponsored by the cryptocurrency company “Be Love”. It is a banned company.
The minister has a responsibility to find out whether the action taken by this cricket board is illegal or not.
It is a responsibility assigned by the constitution.
Section 108 of the Anti-Corruption Act has been newly introduced. Giving or accepting bribes, kickbacks in connection with these games is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for seven years and a fine not exceeding one million. You passed the law. It is Act No. 09 of 2023.
Article 109 of it is also related to this. Under that section, not only the cricket board, but any person should explain how the wealth earned in the past period has been earned.
The minister should make that explanation. If such an explanation cannot be made, it is an offense to be subjected to the aforementioned punishments.
