Norton Bridge Wimalasurendra Reservoir has started discharging again from this morning (28) due to the rains in the western parts of the Central Highlands on the 26th and 27th.
An officer in charge of the reservoir, who commented on the situation, said that during the last two days, the water in the reservoir has started pouring with the rains in the evening.
The official has further stated that there is a risk that the water level of the Kelani river will rise further with the overflow of the water in this reservoir.
