The Kosgama Police say that a police inspector of the Police Special Task Force has been arrested on the charge of aiding a woman who was involved in drug trafficking in the Pugoda area.
It is reported that the arrest was made based on information received from a suspect in custody that the suspected police inspector had supported a woman who was involved in ice drug trafficking in the area while she was working at the Pugoda Police Special Task Force camp.
A 40-year-old police inspector, a resident of Ambagaswewa Hiriala Bakmeewawa area, who was working at the Rajagiriya Gonahena Special Task Force camp, has been arrested.
