It is reported that the Rathgama police have said that a retired village officer who went to bathe near the Rathgama Public Library has died of drowning.
Manimedura Ashoka Gunadasa de Silva (71), a father of two, resident of Wijeratne Mawatha, Hagoda, Rathgama, has died.
The police have said that the place where this person was swimming is not a suitable place for bathing.
