It is reported that opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa has filed a fundamental rights petition before the Supreme Court requesting an order to reduce the existing electricity charges.
The Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission, the Electricity Board, the Minister of Electricity and the Secretary of the Ministry have been named as respondents in the petition.
