It is reported that the Speaker ordered the suspension of the parliamentary service of Mr. Sanath Nishantha for a period of two weeks, saying that he seriously condemns the act of indiscipline that happened in the House yesterday (21).
The Speaker said that the decision was taken in accordance with the powers assigned to him in terms of the provisions of Parliamentary Standing Orders 146 and it will be effective from today (22).
