Speaker’s Special Notice

The parliamentary session started this morning (19) where Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena made a special announcement while addressing the parliament.
The Speaker has informed the Parliament that the Rehabilitation Bureau Bill is in line with the Constitution.
Also, the Speaker has further stated in the Parliament that the Supreme Court has informed that the relevant Ketumpaha should be passed after a special majority and a referendum or after amending some of its clauses.
