It is reported that a woman residing in Katugastota police area has given her daughter to a person who was identified through Facebook for abuse.
According to reports, this woman’s husband died about two years ago and this woman started dating different people through Facebook and used one of these people as her illegitimate husband. That person often visits the woman’s house. It is also said that there was a casual relationship between them.
In the meantime, one day this person tried to abuse the seven-year-old daughter who was in that house and this woman, who is the girl’s mother, also supported this person.
It is reported that the girl told her aunt about the incident and the aunt told the girl’s grandmother and complained to the police.
The Children and Women’s Bureau of the Katugastota Police said that the mother and the estranged husband were arrested in connection with the incident.
