It is reported that Asela Sampath, President of the All Ceylon Restaurant Owners’ Association, said that along with the reduction in gas prices, the prices of food and drinks in restaurants should also be reduced and the price of a plain tea should be reduced to 30 rupees.
Also, the chairman has further mentioned that the consumer affairs authority should take steps to issue a gazette announcement regarding the prices of food and drinks in restaurants, and that some hotel owners representing the opposition do not provide these concessions to customers.
