It is reported that the Maligawatta Police officers who went there to arrest a person who was hiding in a deserted house in the Apple Watta area of Maligawatta tried to hit a group with a bomb, and that person has been arrested on suspicion.
The bomb has also been taken into police custody and an officer of the Maligawatta Police has stated that it was manufactured in this country.
The arrested suspect is a 48-year-old resident of Maligawatta area.
