It is reported that the police have arrested the suspect who stole gold and pearls worth more than 45 lakh rupees from the house of a staff officer of the Colombo office of the United Nations.
The police have stated that the suspect entered through a window and stole the property when no one was present in this house located in the Mt.-Attidiya area.
The person arrested in connection with the incident is a resident of Malambe area.
