It is reported that Dr. Chamal Sanjeeva, President of the Doctors’ Union Alliance for Medical and Civil Rights, said that a decision will be taken this evening (25) about the start of a massive continuous strike in this country.
He mentioned that the professional and civil organizations of the country will hold a final discussion on this today (25).
Many health trade unions and civil organizations signed a joint petition yesterday (24) protesting against the circular issued by the Ministry of Health Secretary preventing health professionals from giving statements to the media, and then made comments to the media.
But it is reported that the Government Medical Officers’ Association or the Government Nurses’ Association did not participate in signing the relevant joint petition.
