It is reported that the Lindula police have said that three estate lime houses have been damaged in a fire that broke out early today (04) in a row of estate lime room houses in Lindula Loku Rahanwatte Estate, Talawakele.
In order to put out the fire that broke out in an estate house, the estate workers quickly worked to remove the roof bars of the two houses located on either side of the house.
The police said that one estate house was completely destroyed by the fire and the property there was destroyed, and there were no casualties.
About 10 people who were residing in the three estate houses have been displaced due to this, and the Estate Management Authority has taken steps to make them stay in a temporary place.
