It is reported that in a raid conducted yesterday (24) in Bandaragama, Gungamuwa area, a person was arrested who was carrying explosives without a license.
Among the explosives seized by the police were 23 sticks of water gel, 218 grams of ammonia 08 kg, 45 detonator caps, 444 grams of black gunpowder, and 215 feet of service thread.
The arrested suspect is a 52-year-old resident of Bandaragama.
The suspect is scheduled to be produced in the Panadura Magistrate’s Court today (25) and the Bandaragama Police are conducting further investigations.
