It is reported that a young mother of Wikka Piliyandala area and two women who had bought the children for 25000 rupees each were arrested this morning (07).
Among the suspects, the young mother of the twins and a woman who bought one of the children were arrested in Ragama area and the woman who bought the other child was arrested in Kelaniya area.
It has been revealed during the investigation that the concerned mother, who was working as a maid in a house in Ragama area, gave birth to twins a week ago at the Colombo Castle Maternity Hospital.
