It is reported that the Secretary and Revenue Inspector of Sitawaka Municipal Council were arrested by Bribery or Corruption Investigation Commission officials in connection with a case of bribery for the renewal of a lease agreement.
An amount of 4 lakhs has been received as bribe money.
It is stated that the suspects are scheduled to be presented to the court today (24).
