It is reported that the railway department has said that the train service between Badulla and Colombo Fort on the upland railway line, which was blocked due to the collapse of the rock cliffs near the 155/25 mile post between Diyathalawa railway stations in Haputale, has been restored today (19) in the morning.
On the direction of Mr. N.C. Manimendra, the Railway Department’s Supervising Manager of the Railway Department, the technicians of the Railway Division of the Railway Department removed the boulders that had collapsed on the railway line.
