UVA WELLASSA UNIVERSITY HAS A FACULTY OF MEDICINE.

Senior Professor Sampath Amaratunga, Chairman of the University Grants Commission, said that in about six months, the Faculty of Medicine of Uva Wellassa University will be established, and for that purpose, about 30 specialist doctors who are currently working at Badulla General Hospital have expressed their interest to work in this Faculty of Medicine. It is reported that he made the announcement while attending a ceremony held yesterday (12) at Uva Wellassa University.
