It is reported that wildlife officers from all over the island have decided to go on a symbolic strike today (18).
Mr. Prabhash Karunathilaka, President of the All Ceylon Integrated Wildlife Officers’ Union, stated that the trade union action will be initiated based on several demands, including ensuring the safety of wildlife officers.
Meanwhile, the ambulance drivers in the Central Province have decided to go on strike tomorrow (19).
Mr. Sampath Karunaratne, President of the Central Province Ambulance and Transport Drivers Association, has said that this strike will be held tomorrow and the day after in protest against the transfer system implemented by the Central Province Governor.
