New Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Nalaka Goda Hewa said today that Sri Lanka is currently in a situation where it is unable to repay its debts and has proposed to provide another loan to repay China’s debt.
He was responding to a question raised by a journalist at a media briefing held today (26) to announce the Cabinet decisions.
He further stated that this is due to the fact that they are the only country in Sri Lanka that has not been able to restructure such loans as they have provided loans all over the world.
