It’s rare for a father to be 60 years old when his daughter’s been in space, but recently there was news in the United States that made it a reality.
Alan Shepherd became America’s first astronaut when he was launched into space on May 5, 1961 aboard the Mercury spacecraft.
Unfortunately, he passed away in 1998.
However, almost 60 years after Alan Shepherd’s conquest of space, his daughter Laura has also been able to go into space.
She is currently 74 years old, aboard a Jeep Bezos’ Blue Origin spacecraft.
However, she could have followed in her father’s footsteps without being hindered by age.
Bezos, one of the richest men in the world, aims to take tourists into space.
