Director General of Health Services Asela Gunawardena stated that the current health guidelines will expire today (15) but will be extended to another 15 days.
He further stated that it has been decided to give a booster vaccine to all persons above the age of 20 years and therefore they should definitely seek the relevant vaccine from the nearest hospital or medical officer’s office.
He further said that the booster vaccine has already been introduced in government institutions and private sector factories and it is very important to obtain the booster vaccine to keep the country open and to carry out daily routine activities in the country.
