Hikkaduwa Mayor passes away

Hikkaduwa Mayor Winnie Kariyawasam has passed away.
It is reported that Mr. Winnie Kariyawasam had fallen ill last night (12) and later died at your home.
His remains are currently being kept at his residence in front of the Ambalangoda bus stand.
He was 81 years old at the time of his death.
It is said that Mr. Winnie Kariyawasam has done a great job in making Hikkaduwa a Municipal Council.
His last rites will be held at the Hennatota Science College, Hikkaduwa on Saturday the 15th.
