How do weekend power cuts happen?

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has stated that there will be no power cuts on weekend nights.
However, there will be a three hour power cut in categories A, B and C tomorrow (26) and a two and a half hour power cut in other areas, the commission said.
There will also be a two-and-a-half hour power outage in zones A, B and C during the day on Sundays.
However, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has stated that there will be no power cuts in other regions.
