A person has gone missing after jumping from the bridge in Peradeniya, Kandy into Mahaveli.
The police said that a suitcase was found at the place where the person jumped into the Mahaweli river, and in the suitcase, a national identity card, a university identity card, a laptop computer, 02 bank cards, an exam ticket, a wallet and a pair of shoes were found.
Thus, it has been revealed that a 22-year-old person has gone missing from Bulagahapitiya, Aheliyagoda area.
Police lifeguards, navy lifeguards and local residents have started searching for the missing person and the Peradeniya police are conducting further investigations.
