It is still raining in some areas today.

Today (15th) light rain will occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
The Department of Meteorology stated that rain or thundershowers may occur at several places in Uva and Eastern Provinces in the evening or at night.
Along with this, rain conditions are reported at several places in the offshore areas from Puttalam through Colombo and Galle to Matara.
Also, in the sea areas around the island, the wind blows from the southwest, and the wind speed is around 20-40 kmph, the department points out.
The Meteorological Department said the seas offshore from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil will be rough at times.
The rest of the sea around the island can be a bit rough.
