Jeevan Kumaratunga resigns

Jeevan Kumaratunga, the Vice President of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party has stated that he will resign from all the posts he held in the party.
Accordingly, his resignation has been handed over in writing, he said.
Jeewan Kumaratunga has stated this while participating in a media briefing held today (22).
Mr. Kumaratunga has further stated that the party members are deeply disappointed with the double standards of the party leaders.
He has further stated that he will join the new Lanka Freedom Party formed under the leadership of Kumara Welgama in the future.
