Finance Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said that measures will be taken immediately to implement the law against people who bring gold items from abroad to this country for the purpose of smuggling.
The minister has said that due to this, the country loses more than 30 million dollars per month.
Also, the minister has said that these traffickers have already been identified and that necessary legal measures will be taken immediately.
However, due to this, the minister has stated that no injustice will be done to the general public.
