Another discussion was held regarding the Express Pearl ship which sank in the fire yesterday (15).
The focus is on the measures taken to prevent an oil spill from the ship.
The discussion was chaired by the Minister of Justice Ali Sabri, PC and was attended by officials from several institutions including the Marine Environment Protection Authority, the Navy, the Ports Authority and NARA.
The discussion focused on the measures being taken to compensate for the damage caused to the environment by the ship’s fire, as well as the measures being taken on behalf of the fishing community.
