New US Ambassador to Sri Lanka

Julie Chung, the newly appointed US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, said she was “honored” to take over as Ambassador to Sri Lanka.
She added that she hopes to continue to study Sri Lanka, including its heritage, diverse cultures and modern complexities.
The new US Ambassador to Sri Lanka thanked Sri Lanka for welcoming her and said on her Twitter account that she was looking forward to meeting many Sri Lankans.
She arrived in the island yesterday (18) afternoon to resume her duties.
