It is reported that a new species of Covid called Omichron has been identified in several other countries.
These include South Africa, Botswana, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Canada and France.
This new variety was first identified in South Africa, and many countries have now imposed travel bans on South Africa.
But South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said the ban was “unscientific” and called for its immediate lifting.
