The Court of Appeal has directed Litro & Laugh to release only domestic gas cylinders that meet the criteria set by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution in the future.
A panel of Justices Ruwan Fernando and Sampath Wijeyeratne has issued an interim order to Litro & Laugh in response to a petition filed by civil society activist Nagananda Kodithuwakku seeking an inquiry into the recent gas leak.
According to the order, the court has ordered the return of unused gas cylinders that have been released to the market and the display of the contents of a domestic gas cylinder.
