OUTLOOK ON FUEL CRISIS FROM PM IN THERE IN THREE WEELS THE PROBLEM IS OVER.


He said in Colombo yesterday (29) that the most miserable condition of Sri Lankans had begun after 1869 and that the coming period would gradually improve after the end of these three weeks.
He further stated that the next date for the arrival of the next petrol ship is July 22, but before that an attempt will be made to bring in two or two new ones.
He also said that although Russia had the money to buy diesel, there was a problem in finding ships due to the Ukraine crisis, but it was in talks to bring in some fuel ships with money from India. It was also clearly stated that at present there are only 11,000 metric tons of diesel, 7,000 metric tons of petrol and 30,000 metric tons of fuel oil in Sri Lanka.
