Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture Prof. Udith K. Jayasinghe states that permission will be granted for the importation of plant nutrients and agrochemicals required for Maha season crops.
He also pointed out that most of the crops are grown during the Maha season, especially for paddy, maize, vegetables, etc., which require these plant nutrients and agrochemicals.
Accordingly, steps will be taken to import the highest quality plant nutrients.
