President accepts PB Jayasundara’s resignation letter

Secretary to the President PB Jayasundara has submitted his resignation letter to the President and the President has accepted it.
He is expected to step down from his post on December 31.
Accordingly, it is reported that Gamini Senarath will be appointed to the post after the resignation of PB Jayasundara.
He is currently serving as the Secretary to the Prime Minister and the current Secretary to the Ministry of Irrigation Anura Dissanayake is to be appointed to fill the vacancy left by him.
