President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has focused on the need to maintain public transport services in a systematic and quality manner to attract passengers.
Attention has been drawn to this issue based on the public distress caused by the increase in fuel prices and the accompanying focus on public transport.
This was stated at a discussion held at the President’s House, Colombo Fort yesterday (09) on the progress review of the Ministry of Transport and Highways.
