Priority in the importation of vehicles for electric vehicles

President Rajapaksa has stated that priority will be given to electric vehicles that will be allowed to return vehicles.
He has stated this while presenting his policy statement at the second session of the 9th Parliament which commenced today (18).
The President has stated that plans are afoot to use renewable energy sources to obtain electricity for these vehicles.
It has also been pointed out that about 20% of the country’s annual expenditure is allocated for oil exports.
