Police raided a polythene factory in the Thalumpitiyagala area in Homagama and found a stock of 5,100 kilograms of banned polythene.
This is a stock of polythene used for the production of lunch sheets.
The Central Environmental Authority (CEA) and the Consumer Affairs Authority (CEA) have also joined the raid.
