Popular Indian actor Deep Siddhu has died in a car accident.
According to foreign media reports, the jeep he was traveling in had collided with the back of a lorry.
Police said the accident took place on a highway in Punjab province on the way to Bhatinda.
He was 38 years old at the time of his death.
With his recent arrest for organizing Republic Day protests, much attention was focused on him in that country.
