Train commuters have been severely inconvenienced due to the trade union action taken by train drivers from this afternoon (15).

As a result, school children were also inconvenienced by children returning home after school.

It is reported that the reasons for this trade union action are the loss of promotions in a number of train grades, including locomotive drivers, and the arbitrary dismissal of employees who were unable to come to work during the last Covid epidemic.

Accordingly, the Railway Regulators’ Association, Railway Engine Drivers and a number of other trade unions are supporting this trade union action.
