Rain conditions in several areas today

Today (10th) there may be several periods of rain in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
The department also mentions that strong wind conditions of around 50 kmph may occasionally occur in the western slopes of the central mountains and in the northern and north-central provinces and in Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
The Department of Meteorology has issued that the winds in the sea areas around the island are blowing from the south-west and the wind speed is about 30-40 kmph, and there is a possibility of rain at several places in the sea areas from Colombo to Galle. The announcement further states.
